Viking workshop

Friday’s Year 4 Viking workshop was a Viking drama!  We built a house and long boat with people.  We were told what the Vikings ate (mead, fruits, vegetables).  We also passed Viking items around which included a cow’s horn for drinking. It was a great show for kids.

During the Viking workshop we examined Viking coins, pottery and tools.  We learned about, ‘The Thing’ , a Viking court and found out about some of the punishments used back then.

It was an amazing workshop.
