The Floating Classroom

In Science, Year 2 have been learning about the life cycle of plants. We visited the Floating Classroom, an electric boat on the Regents Canal!

We travelled along the waterways of Little Venice, looking out for particular plants and birds. We loved looking at the first signs of Spring, and even spotted some coots, swans and Canada geese on their nests. 

Many of us had not been on a boat before so we were really excited!

We enjoyed learning, dissecting and drawing different plants on a moving classroom. Everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable day, children and staff alike!
