Speak out. Stay safe.

In Collective Worship, we had a special assembly about the NSPCC, who help children who have any worries at home, school or anywhere. The message is ‘Speak out. Stay safe’, because you always need a trusted adult who can help you at times when you’re worried. Children should speak out even if it’s hard to. In the assembly, they talked about Childline and helped us memorise the number with hand movements. The number is 0800 1111. Childline is a phone service only for children and young people. When you phone up, you speak to an NSPCC coach and they give you hints and help about your worries.  You don’t have to pay for it and it doesn’t come up on the phone bill.
Afterwards, we made chatterboxes. They were to help you memorise facts about Childline and the NSPCC. We think it is a good thing that the NSPCC and Childline exist because otherwise people would be bullied and have other problems, and wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. You can talk to them online or on the phone if you have any worries.
