Remembering Queen Elizabeth II

Last week, we reflected on the life of our much cherished sovereign, Queen Elizabeth II. Throughout her reign - times of war, peace, social change and unrest, and technological advancements - she remained true to the promise she made on her 21st birthday: to devote her life in service to others. Her outstanding example of dedication to duty inspired, and continues to inspire, so many. We pray for the Royal Family and our new king, Charles III.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace and rise in glory. Amen.

Pupils wrote messages for the Royal Family, including our memories of the Queen. Pupils in Years 1-6 received a prayer card from Holy Cross Church.
