Our new mural

We are delighted with our new mural of England and Arsenal footballer (and ex-Edward Betham pupil), Bukayo Saka. Created by Darek Urlewicz (Pikto Art) and finished on Bukayo’s 20th birthday, the mural was suggested by one of our Year 5 pupils. She said, “Because of all the racism that happened after the match between England and Italy, I wanted to do something special for Bukayo to represent that he came to our school, and progressed from a small child to a successful man. I saw a photo of the Marcus Rashford mural in Manchester, and it gave me the idea for us to have a mural too.” Thank you, Darek, for making that brilliant idea a reality; the mural has had over 12,000 views on Facebook!
