Our Beginning of Year service

At our beginning of year service this morning, staff and governors prayed for God's blessing upon all that we do this year.

Heavenly Father,
In the book of Joshua you say, “Be strong and courageous.  Do not be frightened and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
As we enter the new school year, we ask that you would help us to be strong and courageous as we meet our new classes and face new challenges.  We thank you for your faithfulness over the past year.  As we return to school we remember the beautiful sunshine of this summer and with thank you for times we have spent this summer with friends and family. 
We ask your blessing upon all that we do this year.  Give us the energy and strength that we need. We pray that you would build strong relationships in our classes and in our wider staff team so that we can all flourish and learn together.

“Faith, hope and love, these three things will last for ever and the greatest of these is love.”
We return to school and we return once more to our vision and the heart of our school.  We pray that this year these words would be evident in all that we do in school.  Thank you God that you love each and every one of us here.  You have called us and have a purpose for us.
We pray that all of the children in our school would know how valued they are as one of your precious children. We ask that they would be inspired to be the best they can be and develop their gifts and talents.
We pray that each and every member of the school team would feel loved and valued.  We thank you for our governors, our teaching staff, our support staff and everyone who plays a part in the life of our school.  We know that you will use each of us this year.  May we all work together to be the hands that show your love and kindness in our school and to one another.
