• Wednesday 15 October 2025 Year 3's role models project Children in Year 3 were invited to take part in a Role Models project - and in our former pupil, Bukayo Saka, they found the perfect example to look up to! The children spoke confidently about how Bukayo inspires them and how he lives out our school values. They were then joined by a very special guest - Bukayo himself!
• Sunday 21 September 2025 Peace One Day On Sunday 21st September, our Junior Choir (invited by Young Voices) featured in the global Peace One Day concert, streamed live to audiences worldwide.
• Monday 11 August 2025 School Tours We always enjoy welcoming prospective parents, carers and pupils to our school. Whether your child is starting school (Nursery or Reception class) in September 2025, or you are interested in joining our school community now, come and meet us!
• Thursday 7 August 2025 A visit from Bukayo Saka! Bukayo Saka has generously funded a community project, supporting families at our school and other local schools, by providing free uniforms, helping to ease the pressure of the ongoing cost of living crisis. We were delighted to welcome him back to school today.
• Tuesday 20 May 2025 Year 4's act of service: sponsored run Huge congratulations to our Year 4 superstars, who ran a mile for Housing for Women and raised over £855. Proof that little legs can make a BIG difference. We are so proud of you!
• Thursday 8 May 2025 80th Anniversary of VE Day On VE Day, pupils from Edward Betham were invited to the special VE Day service in St. Leonard’s Church, Heston, for the 80th anniversary of VE Day
• Friday 4 April 2025 Bishop Lusa's visit We were honoured to welcome Bishop Lusa to our school, following our Easter Service! Our Worship Ambassadors interviewed him about his role, before a guided tour of the school.
• Monday 10 March 2025 School Street Thank you to pupils from Years 4 and 5 for our School Street assembly. They explained what makes a healthy street, why being active is important, how to cross the road safely (STOP, LOOK, LISTEN, THINK!), and how active travel will help to reduce pollution in and around our school.
• Friday 7 March 2025 Goodbye, Fr Graham At the end of our Lent Mass, we said goodbye to Fr Graham and wished him well as he takes up his new role in Eltham. Fr Graham has been a blessing to our school and community and we will miss him!
• Wednesday 5 March 2025 Prayer cards Thank you to our Year 6 Worship Ambassadors for organising our new prayer cards. These are available for pupils (outside the Infant Welfare Room and Junior Hall) and adults (outside the office).
• Tuesday 4 March 2025 Climate Justice exhibition 2025 Two of our pupils represented our school at the Climate Justice exhibition at The Houses of Parliament today. They listened attentively during the training and spoke confidently to MPs about Climate Justice. It was fantastic to be interviewed, too, and spot work on display from other pupils from our school!
• Thursday 13 February 2025 Pride of England Pupils thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Pitzhanger Manor and Gallery, which included a visit to Matt Smith's 'Pride of England' exhibition.
• Monday 10 February 2025 Young Voices 2025 We loved being part of the Young Voices Choir at the Ovo Arena Wembley on 10th February
• Friday 25 October 2024 Edward Betham Walking Bus Thank you to everyone who joined Mr Parker, our Explorer Ambassadors and Betham Bear for our walking bus today. The bus marked the end of our ten-day active travel challenge, to promote healthy habits around active and sustainable travel to and from school.
• Thursday 18 July 2024 Superstan This week we were treated to a wonderful production of 'The Amazing Adventures of Superstan', where a new superhero was required to stop the evil Candy King from taking over Megaville... and Greenford!
• Monday 15 July 2024 BBC Breakfast News: Euro 2024 Today John Mcguire from BBC Breakfast News came to school to talk to pupils and staff about last night's UEFA 2024 Final against Spain.
• Thursday 4 July 2024 Infant and Junior Sports Mornings Well done to all our pupils in Reception-Year 6 for their excellent participation in today's Sports Fun mornings at William Perkin CofE High School.
• Friday 28 June 2024 ITV News Nick Dixon from Good Morning Britain joined us this morning to talk about The UEFA European Football Championship 2024 and how a former pupil, Bukayo Saka, inspires us!
• Wednesday 26 June 2024 Lord Mayor Gala Evening At yesterday's 9th Reflections of The Lord Mayor Gala Evening, the distinguished inaugural winner of the 'Celebrating Pollinators' competition received her prize!
• Monday 24 June 2024 Oceans Day Today is our Edward Betham Oceans Day. With 90% of big fish populations depleted, and 50% of coral reefs destroyed, we are taking more from the ocean than can be replenished. This week, we will learn more about ocean habitats and how we can help to restore health and productivity.
• Friday 7 June 2024 Environmental Summit Pupils from Year 5 enjoyed a varied and exciting day at Ealing’s first Environmental Summit, hosted by the Junior School at Notting Hill and Ealing Girls’ School.
• Wednesday 5 June 2024 World Environment Day On World Environment Day, pupils from 5MB showed their love for our planet by litter picking in the area around our school.
• Tuesday 4 June 2024 Year 5 at the Wallace Collection Year 5 visited the Wallace Collection to learn more about Greek Myths and created their own mythical and Greek god-inspired piece of art.
• Monday 3 June 2024 TfL Travel for Life awards Congratulations to our TfL Explorer Ambassadors: our school was highly commended in the Best Campaign award at the TfL Travel for Life Top School Awards!
• Sunday 2 June 2024 UEFA Champions League Festival Year 4 were invited to join the Champions League Festival - four days of football-related entertainment (30th May-2nd June). This meant use of a football pitch at Somerset House!
• Thursday 23 May 2024 London Fo Guang Shan Temple Yesterday Year 6 visited a Buddhist temple. Despite being based behind Oxford Street, it was a very peaceful and tranquil place to visit to learn more about Buddhism.
• Tuesday 26 March 2024 Year 2's visit to the Floating Classroom Year 2 enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Floating Classroom, linked to our Science learning about Plants.
• Friday 22 March 2024 Our School Council meeting: School dinners Today the School Council met with Miss Lisa and Miss Rosanne from our school catering company, ISS.
• Friday 15 March 2024 Meeting Mary Seacole As part of Year 1’s History topic, the children have been learning about Mary Seacole and Florence Nightingale. The children participated in a Mary Seacole workshop; they were able to learn more about her life and how she has influenced the world of medicine.
• Friday 15 March 2024 The Royal Courts of Justice Year 6 enjoyed their day in court, related to their History topic: Law and Order.
