Year 5 Art: The Great Fire of London

Year 2's outing to Chiltern Open Air Museum

Year 2 visited Chiltern Open Air Museum, as part of their learning about the Victorians. We took part in a fun Rag Rug-making workshop, learnt about Wash Day and experienced what a Victorian classroom was like.
Year 4's outing to Westminster Abbey

Year 4 enjoyed their tour of the beautiful Abbey. They explored sacred signs and symbols to find out more about key Christian beliefs and practice.
Year 5's Science Fair

Year 5 wrapped up Science Week with the fantastic Science Fair. They shared their projects, first with Years 2, 3 and 4, and then with their families. Both classes worked on their projects for many weeks and we were thrilled with the range of experiments we learnt about.
Junior Citizens Scheme

Year 6 took part in Ealing’s Junior Citizen Scheme to learn about how to keep safe when travelling to high school and around London. We completed activities in small groups; these tested us on making responsible decisions.

West London Islamic Centre and Jamia Masjid

Year 2 have been learning about Islam and visited a mosque in West Ealing. During this trip, the children had a tour around the newly-built mosque and had an introduction to what it means to be a Muslim and the importance of prayer.
Year 4's outing to The Look Out Discovery Centre

Year 4 enjoyed an exciting visit to The Look Out Discovery Centre. They hunted for bugs and beasties in the forest, explored the many hands-on science activities and even climbed a tower.
Year 4's outing to Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha

As part of their learning in R.E., Year 4 visited Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha last week. It was an amazing experience! They learnt about the Gurdwara and its key features, and reflected on why places are special to communities of believers.
Year 3's outing to Shree Jalaram Mandir

This was a wonderful opportunity to enrich our learning on Hinduism, giving more information to answer our big question, ‘How do Hindus worship?’ We received a warm welcome, lots of information on the Hindu faith, and met a Hindu priest.
Enrichment Group outing to the Natural History Museum

Mary Anning, T-Rex, an earthquake simulator and a nest of tiny spiders - it could only be the Natural History Museum! We saw creatures long-gone and those we can still protect. Now, we can all spot fake news about how dinosaurs went extinct.
Year 1's visit from Ranger Stu

Year 1 enjoyed a wonderful animal workshop with Ranger Stu. They saw a range of carnivores, herbivores and omnivores and learnt lots of facts about the different animals.
Year 4's outing to Northala Fields

During our visit to Northala Fields, we climbed to the top of the hill, which gave us a lovely view of how the land has been used (and the town!). We used our knowledge of maps and keys to identify the different locations of land use in Northala.

Year 6 outing to the Royal Courts of Justice

Year 6 went on a trip to the Royal Courts of Justice. We got to dress up in character and use the court room to re-enact a real case. The whole trip was an incredible experience.
Year 3's outing to Perivale Woods

In Perivale Woods, we built a ‘tree’, learnt about the functions of the different parts, listened to poetry in the bluebell wood, learnt how to measure the age of trees, produced leaf rubbings, and learnt about the parts of a flowering plant.

Year 2's outing to the Floating Classroom

Year 2 visited the Floating Classroom, an electric boat on the Regents Canal! We loved looking at the first signs of Spring. We enjoyed learning, dissecting and drawing different plants on a moving classroom.
Year 4's Egyptian activities

Year 4 enjoyed a morning of Egyptian activities. Children made Egyptian collars, mummified a tomato and ‘Perform for Schools’ led a drama workshop. Great fun was had by all!

As part of Year 1’s topic on Posting and Places, they explored the northern hemisphere by taking an imaginary trip to the Arctic. They wrote letters about the trip and posted them to their family and friends.
Vision Day: 25th January 2022

On Vision Day we learnt about the story of St Paul. St Paul wrote the words of our school vision; he wrote letters to help the churches live a life that would make God pleased. We wrote our own letters to St Paul as we think he would like to know how his words inspire us every day.
Year 5's Starry Nights

Year 5 are studying Earth and Space. In Art we looked at Vincent Van Gogh's picture 'The Starry Night' and we used it for a stimulus for our writing and embroidery. In our embroidery we tried to use five stitches: running, knot, cross, woven wheel and satin.
