Dogs Trust visit

Year 3 had the privilege of having a visit from the well known animal rescue charity, Dogs Trust. During the visit, we learnt how to be “Dog Safe” through various activities and role play exercises, to see how they would feel as a dog, being approached by a unknown human. The engaging workshop taught both dog owners and not dog owners how to safely approach a dog not pet it, how to take something out of its mouth that should not be there and how to be around dogs calmly.

We learnt fun facts about dogs senses, such as: a dog's sense of smell is 100,000 times more powerful than a human's. Overall, Year 3 had a fantastic time learning about how to be dog safe and we than Dogs Trust for their amazing rescue work for our furry friends.
