Daily Collective Worship is an important part of our school day. It is a time to join together as a community, reflect on important issues and truths, share and celebrate the life of the school and to worship together.
Worship is offered to God in a variety of ways - as a whole school, in Key Stage Departments and good work assemblies, drama, music and class learning presentations by the children across the school. The clergy of Holy Cross church regularly lead worship in both departments and other visitors are invited to assemblies during the year.
Parents are invited to the class assemblies and half termly Masses in each department. Once a year the whole school celebrates the Mass in the church and parents are invited to join with us.
Parents will have chosen a church school for their children because of the ethos, special opportunities for worship and learning about the Christian faith. However, under the 1944 Education Act parents do have the right to withdraw children from RE and Worship.
